January 23rd is the birthday of Robert Mitchel Lewis: son of Paul and Margaret; brother of Mary Ella, PJ, William and Timothy; cousin to dozens and friend to all. He is a very good boy, and, like his Uncle Bobby, named after his Grandpa, Bob.
He is a great mix of his parents in looks and spirit, as well as intelligence, athleticism and goodness. As a high school junior, Bobby is over six feet tall and has proven himself to be a valuable asset on the football field. He plays punter, linebacker on defense and averaged six yards per carry as a fullback for the St. Mary's Knights last fall. The kid can run and tackle as seen on this highlight video from last year.
In an article about the team on AZPrep356.com, the journalist quotes a teammate of Bobby's: “It’s really good having someone that can make a lot of tackles on defense at linebacker,” said Herrington. “He can also be on offense blocking for us and running the ball real hard.” That player is John Herrington who I'm almost positive is Ella's son and Bobby's cousin!
Happy Birthday, Bobby, and may you have 108 more healthy ones, by the Aunt Joannie Sullivan Law of Longevity Aspiration of 2008.
