Dear Hearts,
March 9 is the 4th birthday of Amos Wiley Flores, second son of Randy and Elizabeth, brother of Levi and Margaret Poppy, grandson of Margaret and Brian, cousin to a new member whose arrival we expect in June, nephew and friend to many more. (Did you catch that folks? Daniel & Amanda are expecting!!!!)
To know Amos is to love him. He is funny as heck, sweet as sugar, smart as a whip and tough as nails. Spending time with him means you will most likely go "hunting," build a few things with tools, and imagine some pretty exciting scenarios in which you must hide or fight. He is a huge Star Wars fan, along with Levi and his daddy, as well as a budding Lego expert. I love talking with Amos--he listens intently to be sure he understands what's being said, then he will repeat the concept back in his own words, tilting his head to the side and nodding to show he gets it.
Amos goes to preschool two days a week, helps take care of the "The Girls," the Flores' three chickens, and is a wonderful big brother to little Maggie. He loves spending time with Yaya in the yard and workshop, and with Gigi in the garden, art studio or kitchen. He does yoga with his mama and goes fishing with daddy, among oodles of other stuff.
Welcome to your fourth trip around the calendar Amos, and may you have 121 more healthy trips, by the Aunt Joannie Sullivan Law of Longevity Aspiration of 2008.
