March 31st is the birthday of Margaret Caroline Merwin Hanjani, daughter of Mary Fran and Gary; sister of Joe, Kate and Luke; wife of Kameron; mama of Francesca and Inez; niece, cousin, in-law and friend to so many more. She is one of eight Margarets in our family!
Maggie is still enjoying maternity leave after the birth of sweet baby Inez, but will be heading back to the office whenever the coronoavirus allows such freedom. She works as a Privacy Officer at Medtronic in Minnesota, but is able to do a lot of work out of the home. She and Kameron have recently purchased a new house in Chaska and have created a gorgeous and peaceful home there.
Maggie continues to amaze me with an impressive combination of talent and humility. The woman is gifted in so many ways, yet she'll never let you know. She is funny as heck, refreshingly honest, wicked smart and loving has the day is long. She, like Katie, helps me remember everything about Mary Fran and I am so grateful--style, humor, French language, integrity...
One of my favorite memories of Maggie was having to wake her up for school and get her to the bus stop when I visited Fond du Lac in the early 1990s (MF had to leave the house early). With her jet black hair tousled across the pillow, Maggie slept like the dead. Waking her and getting her upright was like pulling a boulder from wet cement. What made it so hard to do this was not her unwillingness to rise, but to make such an adorable little girl miserable. I shoulda let her sleep.
Happy birthday, sweet Maggie, and may you have 88 more healthy ones, by the Aunt Joannie Sullivan Law of Longevity Anticipation of 2008.
