June 15th is the birthday of Shelly Makus Sullivan: daughter of Don and Judy; sister of Joel and Dennis; wife of Mike; mother of Jake, Seamus, Mia, Augustine, Sofia, Nelly and Max; sister-in-law, cousin, aunt and friend to many, many more.
Shelly grew up in Booneville, Arkansas, and if you listen carefully you can still pick up a little bit of a lovely accent. It's easy to see how she caught Mike's eye at the University of Dallas--Shelly is beautiful inside and out. To watch her care for and love her children and husband is an inspiration. Nothing rattles her and family life is truly her calling. In the past few years she and Mike sent their oldest off to college and welcomed their youngest, little Max, into the world--a similar timeline to my brother Jim and I!
So, happy Birthday, Shelly, and may you have 80 more healthy ones, by the Aunt Joannie Sullivan Law of Longevity Aspiration of 2008.
